The relationship between Tracer and Widowmaker in the animated shorts seem a bit off on the Tracers side. Tracer joined Overwatch around the same time as Widowmaker was trained by Ana Amari. Widowmaker was captured and brainwashed by Talon, tried to kill Ana, and killed Gerard, her husband and well loved agent of Overwatch. So why does Tracer act like she is playing a game with Widowmaker. I would imagine a person would go mad with grief if a good friend got brainwashed to kill people you hold dear. So what is Tracers deal?

Widowtracer is the femslash ship between Widowmaker and Tracer from the Overwatch fandom. In the King's Row neighborhood of London, Widowmaker is sent on a mission from the terrorist organization Talon to assassinate Tekhartha Mondatta - the spiritual leader of an Omnic religious organization called the Shambali - who was giving a speech that night. As she is getting into position for the assassination, Tracer - who had personally met with Mondatta earlier - was watching the speech from within the crowd. When Tracer glances over to see Mondatta's lead security guard looking to the nearby rooftops, she suddenly gets a bad feeling something that was usually right and leaves to investigate, only to find Widowmaker hanging from her grappling line ready to shoot Mondatta in the head. Not wasting time, Tracer quickly tries to ambush Widowmaker, but the Talon assassin's Recon Visor detects Tracer's movement, allowing her to return fire against the former Overwatch agent before swinging into a nearby building.
