Vox Lux has slavering acolytes. Many others have longed for rotten fruit to throw. And nobody, but nobody, went to see it on its US release. The director is certainly at home to the broad gesture and the over-reaching metaphor. If restraint is your sole watchword, you may find yourself fanning your armpits as the credits roll. But this is bravura film-making to a purpose.
Vox Lux: A monstrous star turn from Natalie Portman
The Natalie Portman Sexy Space Scandal Trailer Is Here – The Forward
Natalie Portman, star of Wes Anderson's "Darjeeling Limited" prequel short "Hotel Chevalier" is interviewed in the London Observer and talked about the brouhaha over her nudity:. And that's the thing that makes me think maybe I shouldn't have done it. It's not that I regret the actual thing. But it really depresses me that what I think is a wonderful film, that I'm really happy with - and Wes put a lot of time and energy into planning shots and writing the script, it's very minimal, very exact - and then at the end literally half of any article or review about it has been about the nudity.
One of the few countries where Lucy in the Sky has a confirmed release date is the United Kingdom. And what better to celebrate it than watching one of the most iconic scenes of the film directed by James Mc Teigue. Because of this, we have barely seen official stills of the film.
Widely credited as one of the smartest and most talented women in Hollywood, Natalie Portman is also one the most beautiful. Here's a look at on-screen moments we fell for her all over again. Few expected Natalie Portman to turn up in this medieval stoner comedy starring James Franco and Danny McBride - and even fewer expected her to strip down for a totally unnecessary river bathing scene that added absolutely nothing to the already thread-bare storyline. If you're looking to go completely Billy bollocks for a movie role, you might as well do it in an artsy French short-film. It's practically the law over there.
